Kaepernick Finalist for NFLPA Community Service Award Despite NFL Blackball

There is probably no player who has done more in terms of sheer organizations assisted than Kap, though JJ Watt raised more money and Chris Long gave about the same amount of his own money. It is no wonder Kaepernick continues to be an inspiration. Update: Malcolm Jenkins of the Philadelphia Eagles was ultimately selected for the award. 

NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick has been named a finalist for an award honoring players for their community service work.

Kaepernick and four other players were announced as finalists for the NFL Players Association’s (NFLPA) Byron “Whizzer” White Community MVP award, according to NBC Sports.
