Article by Mike Klis at usatoday.com.  John Elway joins the list of NFL executives deposed by the Kaepernick legal team pursuant to Kaepernick’s collusion case, an event attended by Kaepernick himself.  There are a couple of angles at play here, not the least of which is the fact that Elway was the last NFL official to offer Kaepernick a position on his roster.  Kaepernick was, according to reports,  pursued by the Broncos, but a deal was not completed because Kaepernick was unwilling to take a pay cut at the start of the 2016 season.  That the Broncos would not have reached out at all in the ensuing two years to at least query whether Kaepernick had changed his mind would be a reasonable line of questioning, if true.  More to follow.
