POTUS responded to Goodell’s letter tweeting that it was about time the NFL demand that players stand during the national anthem. The NFL, via Goodell and a league spokesperson, disavowed any rule change requiring standing. The spokesperson provided that “commentary this morning about the Commissioner’s position on the Anthem is not accurate.
