Cincinnati Bengals Showing Interest In Eric Reid, But We've Been Down This Road Before

Looks like the Cincinnati Bengals are having Eric Reid in for an official visit, but we saw the same thing last year with Kaepernick.  He went to see the Seahawaks and the Ravens, for example, but received no deals.  The NFL may also be thinking that signing Reid, who was the most prominent individual in the protests last year, would help them in Kaepernick’s collusion case as they could point to Reid to demonstrate that they have no issues signing controversial protest figures. We shall see. 

After nearly four weeks as a free agent, Eric Reid is finally getting ready to make his first official visit of the offseason.

According to NFL.com, Reid is scheduled to visit with the Bengals this week, which marks the first time that the free agent safety will get to meet with a team since free agency started on March 14. The fact that the 26-year-old former first-round pick is still a free agent has raised some eyebrows around the league.
